When we introduced Ask for Angela at Strait and Narrow, we wanted it to be more than something our customers knew about. We wanted our staff to feel confident about what to do if somebody actually used it.

Ask for Angela Till Stickers: A Practical Reminder
The stickers are positioned where our team can see them during their shift, providing a quick, practical reminder of what’s expected if someone approaches them and asks for Angela.
The message is simple: stay calm, move them to a safe place, discreetly alert a colleague and follow our venue’s Ask for Angela procedure.
Supporting Staff When Someone Asks for Angela
That clarity is important. If someone uses the safe word, they may be feeling uncomfortable, vulnerable or unsafe. The last thing we want is for a member of staff to be unsure about how to respond. Whilst we are a responsible venue and train all our staff, sometimes in the moment a staff member might need that quick reminder.

The sticker also includes a QR code giving staff instant access to further Ask for Angela staff guidance so they can refresh their knowledge whenever they need to. It means the information is right there, in the place where it matters.
For us, this is about making safety part of the everyday operation of the venue not something that sits in a training folder and gets forgotten.
