Complaints Procedure

Ask for Angela Foundation wants everyone who contacts or works with us to be treated fairly, respectfully and with care. If you are unhappy with something we have done, or with the way a participating venue has responded to the Ask for Angela scheme, you can make a complaint.

Before you complain

We are not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999. To report an experience involving the Ask for Angela scheme rather than make a complaint, please use our Tell us about your experience form.

How to make a complaint

Email governance@askforangela.org.uk with “Complaint” in the subject line. Please explain what happened, when it happened, what outcome you are seeking and how you would prefer us to contact you. Include only the personal information needed for us to understand and respond to your complaint.

What happens next

We will acknowledge your complaint, tell you who is handling it and explain the expected timescale. We will consider the information fairly and may contact you if clarification is needed. Where possible, anyone directly involved in the matter will not lead the review.

We will explain the outcome and any action we can take. If you remain dissatisfied, you may ask for the decision to be reviewed by a trustee who was not involved in the original handling, where this is possible.

Privacy and safeguarding

We will restrict access to complaint information to people who need it to respond. We may share information without consent where this is necessary to protect someone from serious harm, prevent or detect crime, or meet a legal obligation. Please see our Privacy Policy.

Accessibility

If you need help making a complaint or require a reasonable adjustment, tell us in your email and we will do our best to support you.
